Extremely high quality piece of artwork by Carlos Chagas. I think Carlos is as good as Kelly Freas or Norman Mingo. I'm completely serious.
The amount of time it takes to paint a painting like this is several weeks and sometimes longer. Most of the time when an artist from MAD gets an assignment they have only a few days and never longer than a week to do the finished product. Carlos is able to spend much more time researching, taking photos and including painstaking details. Did you notice the Tarzan and Cheetah's initials on the tree with two hearts and an arrow through both of them? Take a good look at Tarzan. Tarzan is just a little bit feminine in this painting. Look at the expression on the little boys face as he sees his pregnant mother swinging through the trees with our hero.
