This is a great painting and will look great anywhere you put it.....especially in your home or in your office.
This painting has some similarities to MAD NO 213 by Jack Davis March 1980 but Alfred is rollerblading instead of ice skating. He is not wearing a helmet, the skates are different colors, and the backgrounds are completely different. Jack Davis uses generic comic characters where as Carlos Chagas uses well known Brazilian celebrities from 1981. This is often done in foreign countries to help sell the magazines especially when the American MAD may use celebrities that foreigners may be unfamiliar with such as Howard Stern, Dennis Rodman, Dane Cook, General Swartzkopf, Roseanne Barr, Pee Wee Herman or Whoopi Whatshername etc. Do you get it? If you have time ( and obviously you have lots of it ) you might want to compare Carlos painting to the one by Jack Davis. You can also waste even more time by going to MADtrash.com which is the MAD Internet Database and look at all the Brazilian MAD Magazine Covers. At least I think they are all on there?
