The original cover artwork is owned by Steven Spielberg. There are very few color preliminaries. Most of the time they are just black and white. I believe that Steven Spielberg paid $10,000 for this painting and the color preliminary was approved by him. I wasn't able to buy the original cover but I was able to get the preliminary.
