I like all of John Pound's work.
John does most of his work by making a tight pencil drawing unto white card stock, so he doesn't have to redraw everything. He then coats it a couple of times with white acrylic gesso ( a primer for paintings) mixed with some clear acrylic medium, so he gets light gray lines like pencil art, and so the paper is properly prepared for acrylics. This just takes a few mintues. Then he does the painting, working from lighter colors to darker ones. These paintings take several days to complete each one.
