This is one of the best paintings in my collection. Artist Carlos Chagas
With much pride, I have decided to offer this painting for sale. Very rarely has there ever been a painting by any artist who has ever painted Alfred E. Neuman with so many details. This painting took several months to complete. I think it's one of the best paintings of its kind. If you look closely, you can see the elves burning Santa's letters and destroying everything on December 22 so there leaves very little time for Santa Claus to save Christmas. I love the way the reindeers are being mounted on the wall while two of the other little Alfreds happen to be eating reindeer for dinner. Out of all the lovely little features in this painting, not including the vodoo dolls of mom and dad, my favorite part is the little Alfred being smashed by the front door as Santa Claus enters his workshop. This has the mischievousness of Kelly Freas and is more detailed than a Norman Mingo painting. It could easily be one of the early classics from the 50's or 60's and if it had been published, I believe,it would be one of the paintings considered to be the soul of MAD.
